About Tend & Flourish
Every garden is different, and so are the people who own them. We work with each to get the most out of the space. Some clients want to be involved, so our role is to support them in doing what they can in the garden while we do the rest. Others have a vision of what they want or just know how they want to use the space but don't want to be involved.
Wherever you're at with your space, we can work with you in the way that suits you best.
Our Approach
Emma's Story
Emma left a corporate career to follow a lifelong passion for gardening, and hasn't looked back. "I get a great sense of joy helping people create and maintain their ideal garden. We all need more time outdoors, and having a beautiful space to do that at home can be enriching"
Qualified to RHS Level 3, Emma combines horticultural knowledge and a flair for colour and design to breathe life into tired gardens and helps to keep them at their best.
The Team
Our main gardener is Emma, so you'll usually be working with her to bring your garden to life.
But she has a trusted group of people, whether that be plant suppliers, surveyors, hard landscaping specialists or just another qualified trusted pair of hands. Each has been hand picked not just for their skills but also because they fit with the ethos to which Tend & Flourish was set up. That is to provide care not only to the garden spaces but to the individuals who call them theirs. So you can have trust in the people who will be working in your garden.
Sustainability
It is a love of the natural world that drives our passion for gardens. So, where possible, we work with nature and not against it. For us, that means using peat free compost, sourcing locally and using reclaimed materials where we can. We also try to include nature in the gardens whenever possible. By doing this, we've found that we don't need to use as many chemicals, which is better for all of us and the environment.
So, when we make recommendations, we will do so with all these factors in mind. We feel that we owe it to the natural world we live in to be as sustainable as possible.
